History:

Designed at Aero Vodochody in Czechoslovakia, the L-29 Delphin ( "Dolphin") Jet first flew in 1959. The L-29 served as the primary lead in jet trainer for the Soviet Union, untill it was replaced by the L-39 Albatros. Over 3600 L-29's were produced between 1959 and 1974. In addition to Jet Training, the L-29 has been used as a Light Attack aircraft, Photo Reconnaissance aircraft and for Demonstration Aerobatics. The L-29 has trained more Jet Pilots than any other aircraft in history.

Our Aircraft:

3D Aviation currently operates a fleet of beautifully restored, tandom seat, dual control L-29 Delphins. 3D Aviation is committed to providing aircraft that offer the most up to date technology. We are in the process of updating our fleet with dual EFIS (glass) cockpits and onboard video recording systems. All of our aircraft have been maintained to the highest standards and have continuous records going back to their first flights with the Soviet Military.
